Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. She is the oldest child among four children. Her parents, a dentist and a teacher recognised and backed her love for theatre and drama as early as she was a child. This superseded an initial desire to become a primatologist thanks to her love of monkeys. Her fame grew as an actress in her early years and enjoyed enormous popularity and success. When she first began an acting career she took part in Jeunes Premiers a French show on TV that focuses on talent which was a part of Canal+ in 1998. She also won The award for the Best Young Actress at during the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Though she was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has stayed away from her religious upbringing and has stated she's not Catholic. Neben her acting, Tautou took up modeling and was the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. In addition to her acting career she is also interested in photography. The actress recently showed some photos in Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival under the name Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on celebrity and fame, and turns the camera on the journalists who scrutinised her when she exploded to fame as Amelie and a series of self-portraits. Audrey Tautou's very first major role, as Amelie Poulain's main actor in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain, brought the actress international fame. Amelie received international acclai the box office and received acclaim at awards galas across the world. It's the highest-grossing French film made in America. After this huge success, Tautou was later cast in many films including British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
