Markie has appeared as an actress and on several game shows. The daughter of the scientist Richard F. Post and his wife, poet Marylee Post was raised in Walnut Creek and Stanford alongside her siblings. Las Lomas High School was where she enrolled and played football. She briefly attended Pomona College and graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Oregon. Post had previously been married Stephen Knox. From 1982, she's been married to actor cum writer Michael A.
